Information Specialist in the Media Library
Bündner Kantonsschule | 70-80% | Chur
The Bündner Kantonsschule is an important educational institution with around 1,000 students of all three cantonal languages. As a department of the Office for Higher Education, it offers secondary education programs at the long- and short-term gymnasium as well as at the specialized, commercial, and computer science secondary schools. As an Information Specialist, you will complement our small team in the Media Library to support the entire range of services.
We are looking for an Information Specialist in the Media Library for our school starting January 1, 2026.
Your area of responsibility
- Provision and lending of media
- Advising learners and teachers
- Teaching information literacy (e.g., training sessions)
- Assisting in the management of digital offerings
- Assisting in the acquisition and cataloging of media and in the external presentation of the collection
- Taking on your own areas of responsibility (e.g., interlibrary loan, magazine management)
- Participating in internal school projects as well as general administrative tasks
What we expect from you
- Completed training in the field of library, information, and documentation or equivalent education
- Good knowledge of Office applications
- Reliable, independent, and team-oriented personality who enjoys working with young people
- As an employee at the trilingual school, knowledge of additional cantonal languages will complete your profile
