To strengthen our team in the unit "Water, Waste to Energy and Environment" we are looking for the branch office in Zurich or Bern immediately or by arrangement for a
Project Manager Thermal Networks 80-100%
You will work on demanding projects in the field of district heating (DH) and district cooling (DC) supply as well as on infrastructures for energy generation. You will take responsibility for planning, implementation, and successful project management – from the preliminary study to completion.
YOUR TASKS:
- Leadership and management of large projects in the phases of preliminary study, detailed planning, tendering, execution, and administrative completion, especially in the field of district heating, district cooling, and energy generation plants
- Definition, coordination, and monitoring of the goals of all project participants
- Active customer support as well as preparation of offers and project documents
- Contribution of your technical expertise and ensuring quality-compliant project execution
- Monitoring of on-site work and participation in project and coordination meetings
- Technical and financial responsibility for the projects
- Ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations
- Central contact person for customers and coordinator between planning, implementation, and completion
- Contribution to the further development of the team through technology monitoring and proposals for innovative technical and documentary solutions
- Support in the development and expansion of the business area energy supply networks and infrastructures in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
- Acquisition of new customers in the German-speaking part of Switzerland in close cooperation with the group management
- Follow-up of offers and interface to the sales team in the region
YOUR TEAM:
In the team for energy networks and infrastructures, you work on exciting projects that include the following areas in particular:
- All phases of planning and development of new heat/cold networks
Extensions of existing networks - Connections of customers to the heat/cold network
- Optimization of existing networks
- All phases of planning and development of new heat/cold generation plants
- Optimization of existing generation units
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed engineering degree (ETH, FH or equivalent) in energy, heating, or supply technology
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of district heating / district cooling, energy generation, or supply infrastructures
- Solid technical and project-related expertise as well as a good network in the energy sector (public and private clients)
- Experience in project management and in the technical-financial control of projects
- Independent, initiative, and responsible personality with joy in interdisciplinary collaboration
- Strong communication and organizational skills in dealing with customers and partners
- Language skills: native German with good French skills, or vice versa. English skills are an advantage
