Artistic Staff Member Direction, 30%
We are looking for a person with their own directorial practice who actively follows contemporary theatre creation and has a clear interest in socio-political contexts as well as relevant experience or special interest in international networking. We expect a willingness to be present on-site in Zurich or the surrounding area.
Your tasks
- Support of the Major Direction leadership in teaching and curriculum development
- Responsible handling of professional, organizational, and administrative matters of the Major Direction
- Preparation and implementation of courses / co-teaching within the Major Direction
- Supervision and individual project support of students
- Organization and participation in student entrance examinations
- Collaboration and organization of (international) excursions of the study area
- Active participation in the further development of the Major Direction
- Very good English skills in spoken and written form (B2-C1)
Your profile
We are looking for an independent, enthusiastic, and committed personality with quick comprehension and excellent communication skills. A university degree (Master) in theatre directing and your own artistic theatre practice are advantageous. You are familiar with the contemporary theatre landscape, know the current academic discourses, and bring a clear interest in reflective practice.
