Your Responsibilities
As a System Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the internal technology foundation that supports our Wüest Dimensions platform and engineering teams, which includes:
- Architecture & Cloud Strategy: Define, maintain, and continuously improve scalable, cloud-native application architectures on Microsoft Azure. This includes not only setting architectural standards but also driving continuous refactoring and modernization of the existing platform.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Lead the design and optimization of containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, with expertise in deployment automation.
- CI/CD & Infrastructure: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- DevOps & Observability: Establish and refine practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Application Insights) to guarantee system reliability and proactive incident response in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, including DevSecOps principles, identity and access management (IAM), and container/image scanning to maintain compliance with company, client and industry standards.
- Collaboration & Enablement: Partner with development and operations teams to drive a DevOps culture, offering architectural guidance, technical mentoring, and hands-on support to improve delivery speed and operational excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging technologies and tools in the DevOps and cloud ecosystem, introducing solutions that not only enhance operational efficiency but also enable ongoing modernization of application architectures
Qualifikationen
Your Profile
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, system operations, or architecture, with a focus on DevSecOps practices and cloud-native design
- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure services, release process design and release management
- Proven track record in containerization, orchestration and infrastructure automation
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and implementing testing strategies within pipelines
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks and tools
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, vulnerability scanning, secrets management and secure-by-design principles
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to bridge development, operations and architecture disciplines
- Professional fluency in English (spoken and written)
