The waste incineration plant (KVA) of the city of Winterthur processes 200,000 tons of waste annually and thereby produces heat for the district heating network of the city of Winterthur as well as around 20 percent of Winterthur's electricity demand.

Your Tasks
- Operate, monitor and maintain the plant components of the two incinerators, the steam boilers and the flue gas cleaning
- Ensure as trouble-free and economical operation of the KVA and district heating as possible
- Troubleshoot, carry out repairs, recurring tasks and inspection rounds
- Compliance with limit values for flue gas and wastewater, keep operational reports
- Participation in the annual revision work
Your Profile
- Completed training as a polymechanic, machine mechanic, electromechanic or chemical technician as well as several years of professional experience, ideally with experience in thermal process engineering
- Willingness to work shifts (3-shift operation) in a modern and complex technical environment with partly high emissions (noise, heat, dirt)
- High safety and risk awareness, networked thinking, as well as the ability to solve problems independently and systematically
- Precise and independent working method, reliability and team orientation
- Good IT user skills
