HSE OFFICER
ROLE
Based at SICPA headquarters in Prilly, you are responsible for defining, deploying, and managing the Health, Safety, and Environment policy at the Prilly and Bussigny sites. You ensure regulatory compliance, control of occupational risks, and the development of a sustainable safety culture, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Regulations and legal aspects
• Ensure regulatory and technological monitoring (standards and best practices in technical safety and occupational health).
• Analyze occupational risks and establish mandatory safety documents:
audits - MSST system, hazard determination, evacuation plans, fire protection concepts, chemical management, chapels and extraction hoods, room ventilation, etc.
• Maintain annual certifications in compliance with MSST and AEAI directives.
Budget management and reporting
• Participate in the preparation of operational and investment budgets.
• Control costs, prepare budget requests, and ensure financial monitoring of HSE projects and operations.
• Consolidate and analyze HSE reports (KPI, accidents, environment).
• Prepare reports for Management, the Executive Committee, and external stakeholders.
Cross-functional coordination
• Actively participate in the Group's HSE community.
• Organize and supervise evacuation drills at the Prilly and Bussigny sites.
Operations management
• Analyze accidents, near-misses, and hazardous situations; define and manage associated action plans and ensure internal communication.
• Develop and promote good practices in occupational safety and ensure their application in accordance with the safety policy.
• Conduct STPS compliance and fire protection audits.
Continuous improvement and processes
• Foster a safety culture in collaboration with internal partners (Research & Innovation, Facility Management, Technical Services, etc.) and external companies.
• Lead awareness and prevention campaigns.
• Define HSE objectives, performance indicators, and associated action plans.
Leadership & cross-functional management
• Define, deploy, and manage the HSE policy.
• Collaborate with competent authorities (SECO, CFST, SUVA, cantonal labor inspections, fire police, ECA).
• Conduct health and safety training for new employees and managers.
• Monitor and challenge teams in handling action plans.
• Develop a culture of positive feedback.
• Harmonize HSE practices between the Bussigny and Prilly sites.
