Senior Motion Control Specialist

For the Dietlikon location, we are looking for a Senior Motion Control Specialist

Your Responsibilities

• Development of motion control solutions for existing and new systems

• Support of interdisciplinary customer projects 

• Hardware and software concept development and implementation

• Technology- and manufacturer-neutral troubleshooting, retrofits, and upgrades

Your Qualifications

• Design of control loops for drive control with loop shaping, pole placement, model predictive control (MPC), linear quadratic regression, etc. 

• Hands-on problem analysis on MIMO (multiple-input-multiple-output) plant control systems 

• Integration into higher-level control systems 

• Data processing and visualization

• Calculations for forward / inverse kinematics 

• Numerical Control (NC) configuration

• Experience with troubleshooting and new development including design of test procedures and hardware configuration

Optional Qualifications - an Advantage

• Communication protocols 

• Digital Twin

• Experience with multiple control systems (e.g., Beckhoff, B&R welcome)

• Risk assessment and upgrade for machine safety according to 2023/1230

• Control of continuous processes 

• Probabilistic roadmap

• Reactive navigation

• Rapid exploring random tree

• Distance transformation

Your Background

• Engineer (BSc/MSc) in mechatronics, control engineering, or drive technology with several years of professional experience

• Very good German and English skills

• Independence and flexibility

• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking and acting, solution-oriented

• Creative, customer-oriented team player with quick comprehension

• Experience in communication with clients, suppliers, etc.
