Portrait of the School/Institution
We are a small and fine village school located idyllically in Iffwil near Bern. Currently, 26 village children are taught in two multi-age classes (grades 1-3, grades 4-6). Starting from the 2026/27 school year, we will switch to the basic level and Cycle 2 (grades 3 - 6). Our school has successfully relied on mixed-age learning for years.
Our charming school building offers plenty of space for creativity, inviting creative teaching with a large surrounding area and nearby forest.
Unfortunately, a new teacher is leaving us for personal health reasons. Therefore, we are looking for a teacher with a flair for mixed-age learning. This makes you a perfect fit for our innovative team. We accompany our students on their path to successful learning. This means promoting and encouraging their strengths and increasingly taking responsibility for their own learning.
The current staff consists of 4 teachers and misses you.

Tasks
Together with two experienced primary school teachers and two committed secondary school teachers, plan/prepare the basic level and Cycle 2 for implementation and introduction at the start of the 2026/27 school year.
Motivated to collaborate in a TEAM, instead of "Great, someone else does it"
Develop strategies or courage to solve the Gordian knot
Requirements
A teaching qualification and openness
Foreign diplomas and completed CAS "Teaching with a foreign teaching diploma" are also welcome
Bring experience or curiosity in mixed-age teaching
Contribute your creative and independent working style
