Your tasks

• Responsibility for stable and efficient traffic operation on the bus, tram, and train network of the entire BLT in the lower and upper Basel region
• Personnel and professional leadership of the team consisting of traffic controllers who monitor the entire ongoing operation and coordinate vehicles, personnel, and resources
• Ensuring smooth, safe, and high-quality 24/7 control center operations including professional disruption management and short-term personnel deployment
• Ensuring preventive support for the traffic service employees on duty as well as quick, professional response to unforeseen events including comprehensive coordination for rapid restoration of normal operations
• Creating deployment planning, ensuring the employees' expertise is always up to date, and conducting corresponding training sessions
• Strategic and conceptual further development of the control center towards a service-oriented, end-to-end control and coordination center in the sense of modern operations service organizations
• Optimization of control center processes and maintenance of a service-oriented mindset
• Active internal and external stakeholder management as well as participation in cross-departmental strategic projects
• Budget and resource responsibility for the control center area
• Establishment of key figures, reviews, and continuous improvement (CIP)
• Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and close cooperation with the operations management team

Your profile

• Solid professional experience in a control center or operations center of a public transport company, an emergency service organization, border guard, or similar
• Several years of leadership experience as well as pronounced conceptual and strategic skills
• Completed professional experience and suitable further training in leadership, process, or service management is an advantage
• Proven experience in disruption and emergency management including crisis resilience, decisiveness, and high resilience
• Experience in stakeholder management at various hierarchical levels
• Willingness to change and ability to involve teams in transformation processes
• Flawless German skills as well as appropriate, good communication
