Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the FOJ manages more than 40 facilities across the Canton of Geneva and has over 500 places for minors and young adults, offering an educational outreach service at the families' homes.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for certified educators to accompany/support its various institutions, through the Replacement Service team or in a fixed team.
Job Description
- Replace medium to long-term staff absences due to incapacity to work.
- Reinforce teams during workload surges or special situations (educational reinforcement, congestion, close supervision, etc.).
- Accompany and support beneficiaries living in residential homes with the interdisciplinary educational team.
- Intervene with all populations (0 to 18 years) across the various structures for which FOJ is responsible.
- Work in an interdisciplinary team.
- Support parenting.
- Close collaboration with placement services.
- Irregular working hours.
Contract type: Long-term fixed-term contract, renewable, potentially leading to a permanent position within the Replacement Service or another FOJ structure
Activity rate: min. 80%.
Salary scale: according to the State of Geneva salary scale
Qualifications
- Bachelor profile in social work - University of Applied Sciences in Social Work (HETS).
- Certified social educator profile - Higher School (ES).
- University bachelor profile - FAPSE License with one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE.
Foreign diplomas: SEFRI recognition or equivalent.
Driving license required.
Flexibility, mobility, strong adaptability, stress management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with initiative.
Good knowledge of the Geneva social network.
Good writing skills in French.
