The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. Thanks to the commitment and competence of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
To complete our radiotherapy service team at the Oncology Institute of Italian Switzerland, Bellinzona site, we are looking for a
Head of Medical-Technical Department (TRM) (100%)
Profile:
The person we are looking for holds a diploma as a medical radiology technician (or equivalent qualification) and a DAS in healthcare management (or is willing to obtain it).
Leadership experience is a preferred qualification as well as proven experience in the field of radio-oncology, particularly: IMRT, volumetric arc techniques, IGRT, virtual CT simulations, stereotactic treatments and radiosurgery, including any skills in radiotherapy planning. They know, in addition to Italian, a second national language and English, as well as having good knowledge of the main IT tools.
The future head of department listens carefully to their interlocutors and establishes constructive and effective relationships inside and outside the Institute; they manage to build relationships based on respect and trust transparently to motivate the team and create a sense of belonging.
They are able to handle complex care situations and have a good aptitude for acquiring and managing quality controls on radiotherapy equipment, mainly linear accelerators.
They are proactive and able to find appropriate and effective solutions, define priorities, and manage conflicts with objectivity and professionalism; they remain calm under stress.
They act fairly within the team and provide the necessary information to their collaborators so that they can perform their work effectively.
They believe, as we do, in the importance of putting the patient and their family at the center of all our attention.
