Application Manager Tax Applications with Development Opportunities 100%Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
In your new role, you will take responsibility together with the team leader for the operation of our specialized applications and IT infrastructure. You will lead the team both professionally and personally and actively shape the further development of our systems. Prospectively, you have the opportunity to take over full team leadership in the medium term. Together, we create the technological foundation for a modern tax system.
Your tasks:
- Support the team leader in the professional, personnel, and administrative management of the operations team
- Actively shape collaboration within the department as well as with stakeholders and suppliers
- Responsible for the stable operation of one or more specialized applications
- LifeCycle management of your applications including installation, migration, and configuration
- Technical support for the service owner and maintenance of documentation
- Actively contribute expertise in Linux and further develop our infrastructure
Your profile:
- Completed higher vocational training in computer science or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in operating specialized applications in complex IT landscapes
- Initial leadership experience or interest in developing into a leadership role
- Solid knowledge in handling Linux systems
- Certifications such as ITIL, HERMES, TOGAF, SaFe, or Scrum are an advantage
- Team player with high service orientation, methodological competence, and a convincing personality
- Openness to change and further development
