Company Description
Located on a hill in the heart of the Geneva vineyard, Domaine de Châteauvieux is situated in Satigny (canton of Geneva), the largest wine-growing municipality in Switzerland.
This old wine farm, dating back to the 16th century, has retained its old-world charm. 12 rooms and 1 suite, all elegantly and tastefully decorated, offer a magnificent view of the vineyards, the Rhône, or the mountains.
The 19/20 Gault Millau gourmet restaurant is led by Philippe Chevrier.
Job Description
You will be under the direction of our head sommelier as well as the dining room manager and you will be required to:
- You are responsible for the smooth running of the service and ensure personalized quality reception and service for our clientele.
- You propose well-balanced food and wine pairings, providing relevant advice to our clients.
- You have a perfect knowledge of the wine list to meet the expectations of the clients.
- You participate in cellar management and the development of the beverage menus in collaboration with the Head Sommelier.
- Manage the organization and inventories of the different storage points.
- You apply the procedures and service standards of the establishment.
Qualifications
- Ideally trained in hospitality, you have significant experience of at least 2 years in a position in a starred establishment.
- Mastery of dining room service is essential.
- You hold a diploma in the field of wines and spirits and have an excellent knowledge of Swiss wines, considered an essential asset for this position.
- With excellent presentation and good interpersonal skills, you are recognized for your motivation, rigor, and team spirit.
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory.
