Orion is a Swiss legal protection insurance company with around 170 employees in Basel and Lausanne. As a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Company AG and Vaudoise Insurance AG, we work every day to ensure that our clients understand their legal risks and can effectively protect themselves against them.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and committed personality as ICT Network and Client Engineer (80% - 100%) as soon as possible or by arrangement.

Your task – what to expect from us:

• Main responsibility for the operation and further development of client hardware, network, and telephony standards, including their configuration
• Main responsibility for the vulnerability management of network equipment and clients
• Planning and implementation of software applications, upgrades, security updates, and patches
• Testing and evaluation of new technologies to optimize network, workplace systems, and telephony
• Preparation of client configurations and execution of automated notebook staging rollouts
• Leading and participating in ICT infrastructure projects
• Creation and continuous optimization of technical documentation and user manuals
• Technical support (2nd and 3rd level) including escalation to internal or external third-level support
• Support in planning the investment budget for this area
• Supplier management

Your profile – what you bring:

• Completed studies in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in a similar role or in the administration of Active Directory Services
• Solid practical knowledge in handling Microsoft Windows Server as well as in virtualized systems and application environments
• Experience in troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting
• Good knowledge of ITIL and project management
• Solid knowledge of network infrastructure and firewall technologies
• Expertise in application packaging as well as in the configuration and operation of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
• Proficient in group policies (GPOs) and PowerShell scripting
• Familiar with Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD), MS Exchange, OneDrive, and other subsystems
• Experience in vulnerability management and patching clients
• Independent, reliable, and resilient working style
