We are looking for a specialist starting January 1, 2026, or by arrangement:
Specialist: Public Transport Advocacy 50% (m/f/d)
You represent the interests of blind and visually impaired people with the goal of equality, self-determination, and social participation in the field of public transport.
The position involves external meetings and travel, so we expect some flexibility in organizing workdays. At the same time, we value good compatibility with your private life. The main workplace is in Bern but can be combined with other sbv locations and home office upon request.
Your tasks
- Responsibility for the national public transport dossier of advocacy
- Collaboration with internal bodies (sections, members, and counseling centers) and external bodies (counseling and specialist centers, authorities, and associations)
- Participation in expert committees and working groups
- Conducting campaigns and representing campaign concerns to stakeholders and the public
- Providing arguments, statements, and consultation responses
Your profile
- You have professional experience in advocacy and/or political campaigns
- You have knowledge of the Swiss disability sector and are familiar with public transport
- You are an independent, structured, and committed personality with high social competence and sensitivity to the needs of blind and visually impaired people
- You present yourself confidently and persuasively and possess the necessary negotiation skills
- You have very good oral and written German or French skills with good knowledge of the other language
- You work strategically and purposefully, enjoy engaging with new topics, and have a quick grasp
- You have a good understanding of social and political processes
