About the job

The Kemmental lies between the Ottenberg and the Seerücken. Kemmental, with an area of 25 km², is one of the largest municipalities in the canton of Thurgau and is located in the district of Kreuzlingen. The municipality of Kemmental, consisting of the former local municipalities Alterswilen, Altishausen, Dotnacht, Ellighausen, Hugelshofen, Lippoldswilen, Neuwilen, and Siegershausen, has around 2,900 inhabitants.

Your area of responsibility

Consultation of planners and builders
Review of building applications and inquiries for compliance with legal requirements
Preparation of applications to the municipal council
Preparation of building permits, orders, decisions, and inquiries to the municipal council
Building inspections and approvals during the construction phase
Administrative processing of applications
Business preparation and implementation of the decisions of the municipal council and commissions
Coordination with internal and external offices (e.g., cantonal authorities)
Participation in specialist commissions and project groups
Deputy head of building administration

Your competencies

Completed training as a structural draftsman, architect, or already working in a similar function in an administration
Practical experience in public administration is an advantage
Knowledge of building and planning law as well as public law
Leadership experience (high social competence)
Assertiveness
Confident German language skills, both spoken and written
Information and communication skills
Good IT user skills (e.g., Axioma is an advantage)
