Mission
A postdoc position is available from 2026 at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) in the group of Prof. Oliver Janzer.
We seek outstanding candidates working in Combinatorics with interests in one of the following areas: extremal graph theory, Ramsey theory, probabilistic combinatorics.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Working and collaborating on research projects.The precise research topic(s) will be discussed with the successful candidate depending on their background, expertise and affinities.
- Actively contributing to departmental and group activities such as teaching exercise classes, supervising student projects and participating in reading groups.
Profile
- Candidates should have (or be near completion of) a PhD in mathematics.
- A strong research record in Combinatorics.
- Proficiency in English. EPFL’s global setting makes English the primary language of instruction and interaction, with no requirement for French.
