Your tasks
As part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion action plan, we implement various measures at PSI to promote equal opportunities, inclusion, and psychological safety. As an important part of the internship, you will support the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion office in projects and the implementation of measures both content-wise and administratively. You will create content for social media and be responsible for the websites (intra- and internet equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion).
One of your main tasks will be the organization and execution of the 5th PSI Diversity Award ceremony - an award recognizing inclusive and diversity-sensitive leaders - as well as the independent planning, creation, and coordination of the newsletter "Diversity News 4RI." Furthermore, you will support the speakers of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee (DEICO) in conducting meetings (organizing meetings, coordinating the agenda, taking minutes) and in internal working groups. During the internship, you will also take on and lead smaller projects.
The internship offers you the opportunity to gain practical experience in an exciting environment in the areas of diversity, equity & inclusion, project collaboration and management, as well as committee work.
Your profile
You have an interest in the topics of diversity, equity & inclusion and are willing to familiarize yourself with new topics and have an affinity for digital tools (PowerPoint, Excel, and social media). You are well organized and enjoy working with different stakeholder groups.
You communicate well in German and English, both written and spoken, and enjoy skillfully writing various texts.
You appreciate a varied activity where things can sometimes be hectic but also involve quiet research work. This internship is explicitly and exclusively aimed at bachelor graduates.
We offer
You will find a dynamic environment with us and have the opportunity to actively shape inclusion and equality work at PSI. We value equal opportunities, diverse teams, and an inclusive working environment and take this into account in our application process. As a member of the DEI team, you are also part of our HR organization, and if interested, we can offer you a broader insight into HR work. As an employee, you benefit from flexible working conditions and, if needed, your own daycare center. During the internship, you will have the opportunity to attend (online) events and smaller training sessions.
The position is limited to 1 year. The salary is based on PSI's rates for interns after a bachelor's degree and amounts to CHF 2100.- / gross per month (100% basis).
Do you have specific requirements for a position or need further information? Talk to us about it - within our possibilities, we are happy to support you with flexible solutions for workplace, working hours, and job design.
For professional inquiries, please contact Lily Watanabe (current intern), email: lily.watanabe@psi.ch, phone +41 56 310 49 68.
We look forward to your online application by April 19, 2026 for the position as University Intern DEI (Index No. 1301-27519).
