The geological deep repository for Switzerland's radioactive waste is to be established in the Canton of Zurich. The interests and concerns of the canton in connection with this responsible task are represented by the Building Department. Coordination of the tasks takes place at the Office for Waste, Water, Energy and Air (AWEL).

Your tasks

The tasks are varied and interdisciplinary. They range from project management and public relations to demanding issues in the areas of environment, spatial planning, and safety technology. The team develops the technical basis for political decision-makers. We need your support for these diverse tasks.

Your profile

You take on both interdisciplinary technical tasks (focus on environment and safety technology) and activities in project management.

In higher-level committees and working groups, you represent the Canton of Zurich and take an active role yourself. With information and public relations work, you form an interface to municipalities and the population around the deep repository. For this, you bring a natural science or engineering background with basic knowledge in project management and 5 years of professional experience in (infrastructure) projects.

You enjoy working with numerous stakeholders. Your skill in dealing with both experts and laypeople is successfully applied in a dynamic and political environment.
