IT Operations Team Lead 80-100% (m,f,d)

Your tasks

Network Engineering & Operations (approx. 40%)

• Planning, operation and further development of the entire network infrastructure
• Administration and optimisation of LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN solutionsOperation and further development of firewalls and network security solutions
• Analysis and resolution of complex network faults
• Ensuring availability, performance and security of the network environment
• Participation in infrastructure and transformation projectsTechnical evaluation of new network technologies and architectures

Server Engineering & Operations (approx. 40%)

• Operation and further development of the Windows and Linux server landscape
• Responsibility for virtualisation platforms, storage and backup systems
• Planning and implementation of infrastructure projects
• Ensuring availability, stability and security of the server platforms
• Lifecycle management of infrastructure components
• Development and further development of monitoring, automation and operational processes
• Participation in cloud and hybrid cloud solutions

Leadership and Deputy IT Manager (approx. 20%)

• Technical and personnel leadership of a team of up to three employees
• Planning, coordination and prioritisation of operational tasks
• Support and coaching of team members
• Ensuring efficient operational processes and high service quality
• Support of the IT manager in operational and organisational matters
• Deputising for the IT manager during their absence
• Participation in budget planning, supplier management and strategic infrastructure topics

What you bring with you

• Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ (platform development or system technology), a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or IT operations.
• Experience in technical leadership, coordination or management of a small team is an advantage.
• Several years of experience as a network engineer, system engineer or infrastructure engineer
• Sound knowledge of enterprise networks, routing, switching, WLAN and firewalling
• Very good knowledge in operating Windows and Linux server environments
• Experience with virtualisation, storage and backup solutions
• Experience with Kubernetes clusters as well as virtualisation solutions, ideally Proxmox VE.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Structured, solution-oriented and independent working style.
• High service orientation and enjoyment in working with different stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.
• Experience in planning, prioritising and coordinating infrastructure and operational tasks.
