The Zug Cantonal Hospital is dedicated to the health of the population of the canton of Zug and the surrounding regions. Around 1200 employees, including 180 in training and further education, work in various fields. Every year, we treat and care for over 11,500 inpatient and over 70,000 outpatient patients. More than 27,500 people are treated annually in the interdisciplinary emergency center.Our gastroenterology department performs approximately 2,600 examinations annually (gastro-, colonoscopies, ERCP, abdominal sonographies including CEUS and elastographies [FibroScan®]). Furthermore, we offer gastroenterological functional diagnostics (H2 breath test, pH-metry, and impedance measurement).
For our Gastroenterology department, we are looking for a Senior Physician mbF / Head Physician starting May 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Performing endoscopies, liver biopsies, sonographies, and gastroenterological functional diagnostics on outpatient and inpatient patients
- Managing your own gastroenterological consultation hours
- Participation in the consultation service and medical senior physician service is desired
- Involvement in the training of physicians in internal medicine
Your Profile
- Completed specialist training in gastroenterology and general internal medicine
- Knowledge or interest in learning contrast-enhanced abdominal sonography
- Enjoyment of teamwork and a sense for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Resilient, communicative, and flexible personality
