Research Team Manager, Semiconductor Packaging & Reliability Engineering (f/m/d)

The opportunity 
 

We are looking for a passionate Research Team Manager. You will be responsible for leading our multidisciplinary ‘Semiconductor Packaging & Reliability Engineering’ research team in Baden-Dättwil (Switzerland), part of the Central European Hitachi Energy Research Center.

• Set clear goals and priorities for the team, ensuring alignment with the overall research strategy

• Recruit and mentor team members, facilitate their professional growth, and guide project leaders to deliver successful research and development initiatives

• Foster the creation of new research project proposals and strategic research initiatives 

• Contribute to an innovative and motivating working environment
   

You foster collaboration:

• Maintain and extend an excellent network to relevant business units and
  leading universities 

• Promote collaboration between all Hitachi Energy Research Centers 
   

You contribute:

• Contribute to research projects and pre-studies with your own scientific expertise

• Oversee different research laboratories, including safety

Your background
 

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related field

• Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: power electronics, reliability, semiconductor packaging, and an interest in emerging research and technology fields

• Several years of experience and proven track record in industrial R&D 

• Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German is an advantage
