The French Section of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lausanne is advertising a position for an assistant professor in medieval French literature.
Additional Information
Start date: August 1, 2026
Contract duration: two years, renewable once for 2 years, maximum 4 years.
As currently planned academically, this position is not intended to be permanent.
Work rate: 100%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Your Activities
Teaching load of 5 hours per week (Bachelor, Master levels, according to the needs of the medieval French program).
Individual research.
Supervision of students, handling of exams and theses.
Participation in cultural mediation initiatives related to collective actions of the medieval French program; participation in research activities.
Your Profile
PhD in Letters (or equivalent degree; the thesis must have been defended and submitted at the time of starting the position) with a specialization in French literature of the 11th-16th centuries and/or medieval modernities.
Candidates must be able to teach medieval literature at both Bachelor and Master levels.
