Company Description
The Zurich City West hotel complex combines three hotel brands from AccorHotels – Novotel, ibis, ibis budget – and offers 459 rooms accommodating around 1,000 guests.
The 4-star business hotel Novotel Zurich City West has 144 rooms, including 5 suites. In our restaurant "The Flave" we serve à la carte dishes and menus that combine local influences with Mediterranean elegance. Our offer is complemented by a bar, 5 seminar and banquet rooms, two escape rooms, as well as an indoor pool with a fitness room.
We are looking for an experienced, service-oriented, and strong leadership personality to lead our F&B team starting May 2026 in a full-time position (100%, m/f/d).
Job Description
- Overall responsibility for the Food & Beverage area (restaurant, bar, room service, banquet & events)
- Leadership of the F&B team with up to 20 employees
- Creation of duty and vacation schedules for the F&B team
- Recruitment, onboarding, and development of employees
- Active participation in shifts, including shift coverage as needed
- Ensuring excellent guest service and high quality standards
- Quality management and continuous process optimization
- Development and implementation of F&B concepts, menus, and sales strategies
- Close cooperation with kitchen, sales, front office, and event department
- Budgeting, cost control, and active revenue increase
- Responsibility for monthly closings and inventory management
- Supplier management and purchasing of F&B products
Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship or studies in hospitality/gastronomy
- Professional experience in a leadership position in F&B
- Entrepreneurial thinking and experience in cost and revenue management
- Confident use of MS Office
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Creativity and innovative spirit
- Strong communication skills, resilience & flexibility
- Very good German and English skills, additional languages are an advantage
