About the job
Respectful and committed with head, heart, and hand – that is what sumia stands for. In our senior center in Sumiswald, we offer 130 residents a personal and safe home in the rural Emmental. Around 230 employees and 40 volunteers dedicate themselves daily with passion to the well-being of our residents.

Your Area of Responsibility
- You cook fresh and balanced meals daily for our residents, cafeteria guests, and the external meal service.
- You take responsibility for daily production and ensure a smooth process.
- You contribute your ideas creatively in menu planning, events, and specialty days.
- You pitch in in the lively kitchen routine – including on weekends.
- You accompany and support our apprentices in the kitchen with expertise and heart.
Your Profile
- You have completed training as a Cook EFZ.
- You bring commitment, creativity, and joy in working independently.
- You work in a structured, reliable manner with a high quality standard.
- You remain confident even in hectic moments and want to develop professionally and personally.
- You appreciate cooperative collaboration and actively contribute to a positive team culture.
