Summary of responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of the Fairmont Spa, the responsibilities and essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: 

• Consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service,
• Ensuring clients receive appropriate instructions on equipment use and providing fitness advice,
• Promoting and organizing client/member fitness programs and activities, developing the weekly group class schedule, leading classes,
• Selling series of "personal training" sessions, developing sports and dietary programs,
• Proposing different exercises according to clients’ requirements, abilities, and skill levels,
• Assisting clients during activity execution, ensuring they perform exercises correctly,
• Verifying that exercise execution and equipment use comply with safety standards,
• Maintaining fitness areas, ensuring equipment functions properly and is used according to guidelines,
• Organizing occasional or regular sports activities for clients/members,
• Ensuring accuracy of all attendance records and client registrations according to guidelines,
• Always maintaining impeccable attire, cleanliness, and hygiene,
• Respecting department policies, procedures, and service standards,
• Adhering to ergonomic work standards in Health & Safety rules,
• Complying with all hygiene policies,
• Respecting company standards and all safety rules,
• Performing any other tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• 6 months experience in a sports center or hotel as a fitness instructor
• Certification in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and first aid certificate
• A university degree in a related discipline is preferred
• Fluency in French
• Very good knowledge of English
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Particularly responsible and reliable
• Ability to focus attention on clients’ needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical requirements of the position: 

The physical requirements of the position include, but are not limited to:              

• Frequent: standing or walking throughout the work period.
• Frequent: lifting and carrying loads up to 14 kg
• Frequent: kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting
• Occasional: climbing up or down ladders, stairs, and ramps

VISA REQUIREMENTS

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from an EU country – 17 or EU -8.
