About the job
As the head of the Building Permits Office, you take on a central leadership role in public administration. At the interface with politics, you monitor building permit procedures in a legally compliant and future-oriented manner, ensure equal and efficient processing of all procedures, and are responsible in this context for fire protection as well as environmental and energy law.Your Tasks
As a member of the executive board of the Department of Construction and Mobility, you report directly to the head of the department.- Personnel, financial and organizational management of the Building Permits Office (38 employees; organized into Building Inspectorate, Fire Police, Energy and Technology, and Office)
- Cultural development of the Building Permits Office
- Ensuring the organization of building supervision and coordinated advice by the individual specialist offices
- Representation of the building authority externally and management of the city council's building committee for regular building permit procedures
- Monitoring the final processing of notification procedures in the Building Permits Office
- Issuing orders with enforcement procedures in case of building law violations
Your Profile
- University degree in architecture, spatial planning, civil engineering, or law
- Solid knowledge of building and planning law, especially regarding building police regulations
- Proven leadership skills
- Objective solution orientation
- Ability to balance interests calmly while having assertiveness
