Head of Working Conditions Section
Office for Industry, Crafts and Labor | 80 – 100 % | Chur
The Office for Industry, Crafts and Labor (UCIAML) currently employs about 120 collaborators in six regions of the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to managing the Regional Employment Office (URC), we organize active labor market measures for job seekers and manage the cantonal unemployment fund. We also carry out various tasks in the labor market and occupational safety sectors.
For the working conditions section, as part of a succession, we are looking for a head of section from April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Management of the working conditions section from an organizational, specialist, and personnel perspective
- Implementation of accompanying measures and provisions of the Federal Law on Posted Workers (LDist) to protect local labor, including ensuring the achievement of objectives
- Implementation of the Federal Law against Illegal Employment (LLN)
- Labor market examination within the framework of permit procedures under foreign nationals law for third-country nationals
- Control and initiation of sanctioning procedures in the area of the obligation to announce vacant jobs
What we expect from you
- Completed commercial training or equivalent education and several years of professional experience, ideally with further professional training in the labor market sector
- Knowledge of legal and enforcement aspects of the area of responsibility
- Experience in applying legal regulations in an administrative context
- Good IT skills (MS Office, specific applications)
- Excellent knowledge of German as well as good knowledge of Italian
- High degree of autonomy, ability to cope with stressful situations, and decisiveness
- Self-confidence as well as the ability to assert oneself with various stakeholders
- Willingness to perform external service within the framework of control activities
- Leadership experience at the team management level (approx. 5 collaborators)
- High social skills, team orientation, and strong communication skills
