These are your tasks
- Lead and manage the "Network Operations" area with foresight and clarity and professionally and personally lead around 140 employees
- Ensure the trouble-free, safe, and efficient operation of the distribution networks for electricity, gas, water, and district heating in the city of Bern
- Take responsibility for the economic management of the networks – from operation and maintenance to fault management (on-call duty) and network control in 24-hour operation (control center)
- Ensure legally compliant energy measurement for electricity, gas, water, and district heating
- Participate in operational and strategic committees of Energie Wasser Bern and contribute your expertise specifically to the further development of the company
- Further develop processes and consistently advance the digitalization of maintenance and operations
What distinguishes you
- Degree in engineering (ETH/FH), preferably in electrical engineering, computer science/OT, or mechanical engineering
- Business management training (NDS/EMBA)
- Proven experience in leadership with operational result responsibility
- Solid knowledge in dealing with digitalization and transformation processes
- Strong ability and enthusiasm to lead a large specialist department
- Grounded, calm, and at the same time decisive personality with a clear communication style
- Networked, long-term, and strategic thinking
