The Social Services Department ensures services that promote social and professional integration as well as social participation and the livelihood security of families, children and youth, socially and economically disadvantaged people, refugees, and persons with addiction problems. Around 100 employees work in the nine regional and specialized social services.
As a staff member, you will work closely with the Head of Social Services in developing the department. An exciting and varied role awaits you in a committed and responsible environment.
For the Social Services Staff, we are looking for a Scientific Employee (80–100 %) starting June 1, 2026, or by agreement.
- Management, planning, and implementation of projects and conceptual tasks
- Development of professional decision-making bases as well as foundational work on political and specialist inquiries
- Preparation of reports and information as well as data management
- Further development of the existing QM platform and cross-departmental audits as well as their evaluation and derivation and implementation of improvement proposals
- Deputy leadership of specialist meetings
- Participation in the conception, planning, and execution of conferences and events
- Collaboration with diverse internal and external specialist and stakeholder groups
- Completed education in social or economic sciences or a comparable field
- Experience in handling complex, cross-project tasks and conceptual work
- Strong communication skills and team spirit, combined with high independence and transdisciplinary and networked thinking
- Quick comprehension and a confident understanding of political processes and procedures
- Quality awareness, IT skills, and organizational talent
- Outgoing, independent, resilient, team-oriented, reliable, solution-focused
- Good knowledge of the cantonal languages is an advantage
