The Office for Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the Office for Informatics accompanies and supports the Canton of Zurich into the digital world.
Our IT solutions are as diverse as the canton itself – from police and courts to hospitals and schools and universities. At the center are our specialized applications that make everyday life easier for countless people.
In the newly created Applications Operations Services team, we take responsibility for the stable operation, further development, and integration of these applications in our on-premises environment. We are currently in the process of building up and simultaneously shaping the transition to the new cantonal data center.
Now we are looking for you – a committed personality who wants to actively shape the digital transformation with know-how, curiosity, and team spirit.
Your tasks
- Monitoring ongoing application operations and integration of cantonal on-premises specialized applications
- Performing 2nd and 3rd level support including monitoring
- Providing workarounds within problem management
- Assisting in the execution of releases including change, deployment, and test management and documentation
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting lifecycle and interface management as well as further development
- Actively contributing to the establishment of the new service area
Your profile
- University degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science or Business Informatics
- Several years of experience in application operation & management of on-premises applications (standard, industry, or custom software)
- Know-how in the agile environment of complex IT organizations
- Experience in building and supporting complex services and interfaces
- Structured, service-oriented, and independent working style
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Willingness for on-call duty
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
