Postdoctoral Researcher at the Medical Mycology Research Laboratory
The Medical Mycology Research Laboratory of Prof. Frédéric Lamoth, at the Institute of Microbiology of the CHUV, is offering a 100% Postdoctoral Researcher position for the development of a research project on the virulence and resistance mechanisms of pathogenic fungi for humans.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Institute of Microbiology specializes in the diagnosis and management of infections caused by microbial agents. Our main missions include the accurate diagnosis of infectious diseases, the development and improvement of clinical diagnostic methods, as well as the promotion and support of scientific research, with a particular interest in antibiotic resistance and infection epidemiology. We also actively participate in the pre- and post-graduate training of healthcare professionals.
Mission
- You participate in research projects in the field of medical mycology
- You plan the development and participate in project management
- You perform experiments and maintain traceability
- You analyze and exploit the obtained data.
Profile
- You hold a university master's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or an equivalent qualification
- You hold a PhD in life sciences
- You have good knowledge of molecular and cellular biology
- You have experience in the field of medical mycology
- You are able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- You demonstrate organizational skills, as well as good analytical and synthesis abilities
- You have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
