Deputy Chief Resident for the General Psychiatry Service
We are looking for a deputy chief resident from March 1, 2026 (or to be agreed) until October 31, 2026 for a 90% activity rate, for the hospital pole of the "E. Minkowski" section of the General Psychiatry Service (PGE) of the Psychiatry Department of the CHUV.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and training.
The General Psychiatry Service provides psychiatric care for the adult population (18 to 65 years) of the Lausanne metropolitan area. Organized into specialized sections, it has 95 acute care beds on the Cery site and outpatient consultations in the city center, to best meet the needs of users and network care partners.
The "E. Minkowski" section specializes in the treatment of people suffering from schizophrenia or related disorders. Its goal is to enable people suffering from these difficulties to benefit from a better quality of life, help them acquire functioning adapted to their disorders, and reduce the risk of relapses.
Mission
- You take care of patients in the section (psychotherapeutic follow-ups, network follow-ups)
- You supervise and oversee the training of assistant doctors (teaching role and supervisor of the care provided)
- You contribute to the smooth running of the Section by assisting the senior doctors
- You supervise and manage a multidisciplinary team
- You collaborate in recruiting patients for the section's research projects.
Profile
- You hold an FMH title in psychiatry and psychotherapy or are in the process of obtaining it for this position (foreign title with MEBEKO recognition)
- You have experience in outpatient and/or adult hospital psychiatry
- You have good knowledge of psychosis and the schizophrenia spectrum, as well as a specific interest in the field
- You have C1 level in French, essential for non-French speakers (presentation of a mandatory certificate less than 5 years old).
