The Blood Donation Foundation SRK Eastern Switzerland is part of the blood donation service of the Swiss Red Cross. In addition to its core task - the procurement, processing, and testing of labile blood products - the center offers additional services in the field of transfusion and transplantation medicine. The operation holds a manufacturing license from Swissmedic (Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products) as a pharmaceutical manufacturer, has cantonal recognition as a medical institute and medical laboratory, and is JACIE certified together with the St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital in the field of stem cell production. Additionally, the range of labile blood products has been expanded to include the production of starting materials for CAR-T cell production. To complement our team in whole blood donation, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a 40% position (no Sunday, holiday, or night work) for a Certified Nurse AKP/DN II/HF or Medical Practice Assistant EFZ We offer you a varied and interesting activity in an operation that is both a pharmaceutical manufacturer and involved in patient care, with modern infrastructure in a good location in St. Gallen St. Fiden. With your competent and friendly manner, you always ensure a pleasant blood donation experience.Your tasks:
- Collection of whole blood donations
- Assessment of donor suitability
- Preparation and distribution of collection materials
- Compliance with and implementation of legal and internal regulations
- Qualification, maintenance, and proper care of equipment
- Completed training as Certified Nurse AKP/DN II/HF or Medical Practice Assistant EFZ
- Willingness for flexible work assignments from Monday to Thursday, mornings or afternoons and evenings, as well as every 1st Saturday of the month in the morning
- High quality and responsibility awareness
- Experience and confident handling of medical emergencies and hectic situations
- Quick comprehension
- Good computer skills
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Very good spoken German skills
