Your Mission 💡
Our brands AutoScout24 and MotoScout24 are among the leading Swiss platforms for listing and searching vehicles, reaching thousands of users daily. In this role, you are responsible for the experience of professional dealers when sourcing vehicles on our platforms.
Your goal is to make the procurement process fast, clear, and smooth by putting the needs of buyers at the center and removing obstacles along the customer journey. You turn insights from research and data into a focused roadmap, align stakeholders, and lead an interdisciplinary team that delivers results iteratively. Success means tangible results for our customers and the business by enabling dealers to find the right inventory, assess it securely, and complete their purchases smoothly.
Your main task is leading an agile Scrum team to deliver products that are viable, valuable, usable, and feasible. Specifically, this means:
- Developing the vision, strategy, and KPIs for the product portfolio with the goal of continuously improving the user experience for our customers.
- Managing the product roadmap and entire lifecycle: leveraging market trends, product metrics, and international benchmarks to prioritize impactful projects and ensure the team works on value-adding initiatives.
- Acting as an interface between stakeholders (business units, technical teams, customers) to incorporate diverse perspectives into product development.
- Identifying customer needs through research and direct interaction with buyers and sellers; spotting opportunities to improve usability and satisfaction throughout the customer journey.
- Collaborating with your team to design and deliver innovative solutions, from the initial vehicle search to the final purchase decision.
- Evaluating product success using qualitative and quantitative metrics (including beta tests and post-launch reviews) to ensure solutions meet customer needs and support business outcomes.
- Ensuring product quality by taking responsibility for data integrity, process efficiency, and high standards with every release.
Qualifications
What do you bring?
- Fluent in German and English (mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, engineering, or comparable fields
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Manager with a proven track record of launching impactful products, ideally in the automotive, e-commerce, or comparable digital sector
- Expertise in mobile app and/or web platform product development, preferably in a marketplace environment
- Solid experience working with cross-functional teams (UX/UI designers, developers, marketing teams) as well as managing distributed teams
- Knowledge in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to support product decisions; experience with A/B testing and data-driven product management is a plus
- Ability to clearly communicate product decisions and their rationale, make independent decisions, and simultaneously support team decisions
- High cooperation skills to build strong relationships across teams and hierarchies
- Ownership mentality: willingness to take responsibility for achieving business and product results in close collaboration with stakeholders
