About Us
Roundabout or traffic light? Cycle path or cycle lane? More trees and less sealing. Bus priority and safe pedestrian paths. Speed 50 or speed 30? We deal with such topics daily and provide answers. At the Office of Civil Engineering (OCE), we shape the future face of the Canton of Zurich.
The Project Development Department (PE) plans and develops holistic road spaces of the cantonal road network. In addition to settlement-compatible traffic management in town centres, a continuous and safe cycle path network is particularly in focus. To achieve these goals, various stakeholders such as the local municipalities are directly involved in the planning process. The PE department takes the leading role in the planning process and serves as the central contact point for all project-affected parties and interest groups regarding traffic planning concerns.
