Sexton – Caretaker

If you are interested in church life and enjoy contact with people, then you are the person we are looking for. Our church community has about 2,300 members, which corresponds to about a quarter of the village population.

Your tasks:

• Preparing the rooms and technical equipment for services, weddings, baptisms, funerals, concerts, and other events
• Assisting at events, aperitifs, and children’s coffee gatherings
• Maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of church buildings
• Maintenance and care of the garden area and surroundings

Our requirements:

• Flexibility and willingness for irregular working hours (evenings and weekends)
• Service-oriented behavior and polite manners
• Independent and reliable working style
• Good technical knowledge and manual skills
• Driver’s license category B
• Completed basic sexton course or willingness to complete it
• Caretaker training is an advantage
• Residence in the immediate vicinity
