Job Description
Are you finishing middle school and interested in becoming a professional in banking?
If this is your desire, the AFC Commercial Apprenticeship in the banking sector at EFG Bank is the right choice for you.
You will work at the main Swiss locations of EFG Bank in downtown Lugano from August 2026 until August 2029 when you will have obtained the Federal Certificate of Competence.
During the three years, you will gain experience in different work teams operating nationally and internationally, dealing for example with Private Banking, Compliance, Credit Cards, Central Filing, Credit, Business Risk Management, Asset Management, etc.
In addition to on-the-job training, where you will be supported by a dedicated tutor in each team, you will attend the commercial vocational school (CPC) of your choice and courses at the banking competence center (CYP) together with all banking commercial apprentices in the canton.
EFG Bank supports and encourages the completion of the integrated professional maturity to ensure the most comprehensive training possible at the end of the apprenticeship.
During the course, you will develop various professional skills, including:
- financial market and credit analysis
- knowledge of banking products
- preparation and verification of documents
- deadline planning and priority management
- use of financial IT systems
Requirements:
- Passion for economics and the banking world
- Middle school diploma with excellent results
- Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to different work scenarios
- Good IT knowledge
- Knowledge of the English language
