For the coordination of our PhD program, we are looking for a committed individual from 1 July 2026 at 50%, who will administratively support our PhD students, advise on important career questions, and actively help shape processes in the university environment.
Your tasks
- Operational support and supervision of PhD students from registration to completion
- Ensuring smooth administrative processes as well as documentation of all doctoral candidates (doctoral agreements, PAC meeting documents, various other documents)
- Information point / first contact for all PhD students
- Advice on questions regarding career planning and challenges during the PhD studies
- Active participation in optimizing processes and communication (including design of the website and other informational materials)
- Suggestions for the further development of the program for the management
- Organizing and leading information events
- Supporting doctoral candidates with questions about curricula, learning agreements, and further training
- Interface between faculty, GRACE Graduate Center, PhD Club of the department, and internal offices
Your profile
- Completed university degree (including doctorate in natural sciences)
- Experience in teaching and research
- Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
- Structured, independent, and service-oriented working style
- Enjoy working with students and interdisciplinary teams
- Initial leadership experience is an advantage
- Experience in the university environment or in coordinating scientific programs is an advantage
- Knowledge of university administrative processes is an advantage
- Content management experience is an advantage (Typo3)
