Technical Employee
(Physics Laboratory Technician, Electronics Technician or Automation Technician)
Workload: 100%
Workplace: Wattwil
Your tasks - variety and responsibility
Maintenance, documentation and further development of our extensive physics collection;
Managing the physics-specific mechanical and electronic workshop (handling of
lathe, milling machine and 3D printer);
Assistance in practical lessons, projects and matriculation work;
Carrying out repairs;
Development and documentation of new experimental apparatus;
Evaluation and procurement of materials and devices; technical support of the scientific research group academia;
Ordering with budget co-responsibility;
Relocation and reorganization of the physics collection, new setup of the workshop.
Your profile - expertise and commitment
Completed vocational training as a physics laboratory technician EFZ or a comparable technical apprenticeship in the fields of electromechanics or electronics (e.g.
Automation technician EFZ, electronics technician EFZ); solid knowledge in the fields of physics, measurement technology, electronics development and IT; manual skills and interest in the maintenance and development of physical
experiments;
Experience with measurement technology software and common MS Office applications;
Enjoy working with young people as well as teamwork;
Independence, initiative and service awareness.
