YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Support of system engineers in the design and integration of electrical systems (including the drive train) with the goal of ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of our vehicles
- Holistic consideration of the vehicle to ensure electromagnetic compatibility with the railway power supply system, track vacancy detection systems, and trackside equipment
- Creation of EMC concepts, EMC requirement specifications, and EMC test specifications
- Systematic identification of possible electromagnetic risks that could have undesirable effects on our vehicles or railway infrastructure
- Evaluation of suitable EMC measures to reduce identified risks
- Support in the implementation of vehicle grounding and shielding concepts and finding solutions for structural challenges
- Investigations and measurements of electromagnetic disturbances on the fleets, identification of causes, and development of remedial measures
- Leading technical discussions with customers, suppliers, approval authorities, and experts
- Internal training in engineering, management level, and production to promote a general understanding of the topic
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams and coordination of various departments, participation in building a competence center and in creating guidelines and manuals
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed higher education with a focus on electrical engineering or physics
- Solid experience in EMC, especially with interference currents and network feedback, electromagnetic interference emission, as well as protective and operational grounding
- Experience in measurement technology
- Understanding of electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic interactions
- Interest in power electronics and high voltage technology
- Good communication and assertiveness skills
- Good German and English skills at C1 level, both spoken and written
