Your tasks:
Together with the committed and service-oriented Digital Services team of the FHNW Library, you are responsible for licensing and managing contracts for e-media and follow current developments in publishing. You:
- acquire and manage licenses for e-media through the Consortium of Swiss University Libraries or negotiate directly with providers and review contract terms in cooperation with the FHNW legal department
- ensure smooth access to e-media, administer the Read&Publish offers, and support the further development of the product portfolio in close collaboration with the six campus libraries
- monitor the information market, network nationally and internationally, and promote alternative publishing models at FHNW together with the Open Access unit
- are co-responsible for ensuring efficient licensing processes, access management, and effective e-media controlling
Your profile:
You have a university degree in library/information sciences or a comparable qualification as well as the following:
- comprehensive knowledge of the scientific information market and publishing as well as ideally professional experience in licensing e-media
- very good application-oriented IT skills, especially in Excel (knowledge of the library management system Alma is an advantage)
- analytical and conceptual skills, independent and efficient working style, initiative, service and solution orientation, strong communication skills, and a pronounced team player mentality
- very good German and English, spoken and written
