Sous Chef
In a young and dynamic team, you will be tasked with assisting the chef in coordinating the work of the entire brigade of the gourmet restaurant Chez Meyer's, Jack's Brasserie, banquets, and breakfast service. As an enthusiastic cook and hotel lover, you will serve as a role model for the teams and help the chef with the daily management of the kitchen teams: you will monitor the work pace and quality while bringing innovative ideas and ensuring the preparation of dishes in compliance with hygiene standards and according to Relais & Châteaux standards.
CONTRACT: Permanent – Start date: December 2025
TASKS
DUTIES: Non-exhaustive list of activities and tasks
- Production of culinary products – in compliance with HACCP hygiene rules
- Goods management (freshness, quantity)
- Compliance and control of preparations and deadlines
- Meeting customer requirements regarding served dishes and allergies
- Ensuring cleanliness and order in production and storage areas
- Participation, supervision, and control of service setup.
- Ensuring smooth operation of the quality service as defined by the chef.
- Purchasing, storage, and inventory management.
- Analysis and cost management (control of ratios, technical sheets, explanation of any deviations, etc.).
- Management of administrative tasks and schedules.
- Team leadership and support in maintaining team motivation.
- Support in staff development.
- Ability to respond appropriately to complaints or specific customer requests.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Training in hotel and restaurant management
- Language skills in German, French, or English
