Your tasks
- Maintenance of the track and engineering structures
- Upkeep of the railway infrastructure
- Preparation of the rack rails
- Environmental maintenance, e.g. slope care, snow removal
Together with your colleagues, you maintain the rack railway line of the "Riggenbach" system with a total length of just under 16 km and its approximately 5,500 rack rails. You actively participate in the repair of engineering structures, clear culverts, mow slopes, and assist with all other maintenance work on and beside the tracks. In winter, you ensure a snow-free route with our snow blower from 1930. And if that is not enough variety for you, you can complete the internal training to become a train driver. As a locomotive driver, you will then accompany guests, goods, and construction trains on the Rigi.
Your experience
- Training as a track builder, road builder, metalworker, or comparable manual training
- Several years of professional experience
- Manual skills combined with good physical condition
- Cross-mountain assignments in Goldau and Vitznau
- High independence, flexibility, and team spirit
- Native German speaker and basic knowledge of English are an advantage
