About the job
Context: strengthening the Products & Subscription Life Insurance team for the development of the Java backend of the internal life insurance subscription application.
Main tasks:
Develop, maintain and evolve the Java backend of the application.
Design, implement and document efficient and secure REST APIs.
Create and manage the databases necessary for the operation of the application.
Participate in defining the software architecture and the technical design of solutions.
Collaborate with business and product teams to translate functional needs into technical specifications.
Perform code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, and security.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
Participate in Agile rituals (daily, sprint planning, review, retrospective).
Must Have
Excellent mastery of Java 17+ and Spring Boot
Strong experience in back-end architecture
Mastery of REST APIs and SQL language
Nice to Have
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
Basics of Kafka event streams
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
+8 years of experience in Java back-end development
HES/EPF degree or equivalent in computer science
Languages: fluent French, minimum B2 English
