The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zürich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of Gas Insulated Switching Systems. We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods.
How you’ll make an impact

Project planning and technical detailing of gas-insulated switchgear, including preparation of all necessary documents for order, fabrication, assembly and customers

Discussion of technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholders

Management of all technical communication channels internally as well as externally

Project execution and ordering of required material including necessary configuration

Responsibility for project costs, deadlines & scope of delivery

Detailed elaboration of quality cases and improvement processes

Technical support of the project until completion of on-site assembly

Occasional travel to customer meetings or site visits
Your background
-
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering without or with little working experience

Experience with Microsoft Office applications

Ability to assist in developing project schedules and tracking progress

Familiarity with supporting various project phases, including production, transportation, installation, and testing
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and escalate issues
-
Ability to work effectively within an international team environment and collaborate with other departments.

Experience in coordinating resources, including materials and equipment is a plus
-
Proficiency/experience in CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD), SAP and other engineering tools is a plus
-
Fluent in English and German
