Bar Examination Commission
The Bar Examination Commission of the Canton of Zurich is responsible for conducting the qualification examination for the legal profession, which is taken annually by around 450 candidates.
For the office of the Bar Examination Commission, we are looking for an
Administrative Secretary (60%)
Your area of responsibility
- You will jointly manage the office of the Bar Examination Commission together with your colleague (100%).
- You are the first point of contact for general inquiries regarding admission to the bar exam based on legal regulations (examination regulations, AnwG, BGFA).
- You manage the files of the more than 450 candidates who take the written and oral bar exam annually and support them during the exams.
- You coordinate the exam dates and ensure smooth cooperation with the 35 commission members (lawyers, professors, and senior judges).
- You organize the information event as well as the plenary session and assist in preparing the patent handover celebration.
- You independently handle various commercial tasks.
Your profile
- Commercial basic training or comparable commercial further education / alternatively law student.
- Enjoyment of administrative activities and supporting young lawyers.
- Independent, reliable, and very precise working style.
- High social skills, empathy, and communication ability.
- Outgoing personality with organizational talent, diplomatic demeanor, and a neat appearance.
- Confidence in oral and written expression.
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools and ideally business administration of Zurich legal services.
- High flexibility also regarding working hours (work starts at 7:00 a.m. on Monday mornings, other days are freely selectable).
