ICT System Engineer Linux

About the job

• Creation and further development of concepts for operating a mixed Windows, Linux environment with server and client systems
• Selection of hardware and system software as well as network and control components
• Design and optimization of the productive operation of IT systems (including data backup, recovery/restart) and the internal server infrastructure (Windows and Linux)
• Analyzing malfunctions and error conditions
• Initiating and monitoring measures to resolve them
• Controlling and monitoring system loads
• Support in operational operations (system administration)
• Participation in IT projects
• Leading technical subprojects

• At least 5 years of experience in ICT engineering environment with Linux systems
• Very good Linux knowledge
• Oracle DB knowledge
• Knowledge of network protocols as well as cyber security
• Initiative, flexibility and willingness to take responsibility
• Solution-oriented and independent working style
• Willingness to occasionally take on on-call duty
• Willingness to travel
• Good German and English skills (at least level B2), French is an advantage
