Production Manager – GIS Unit 80 - 100% (m/f/d)

About the Position

Welcome to Hitachi Energy! As Production Manager for our GIS unit, you will take operational and strategic responsibility for a specific production line at the Oerlikon site. You lead a dedicated team and ensure that our production goals regarding quality, cost, and punctuality are met.

What You Can Achieve

• Management and further development of the GIS Compact Line production line with a focus on HSE, quality, efficiency, and punctuality

• Leadership, motivation, and development of the production team consisting of >45 employees

• Ensuring and continuously optimizing production processes using Lean principles

• Active participation in investment projects and layout optimizations

• Responsibility for occupational safety, quality, and continuous improvement in the area

• Monitoring of production-relevant KPIs

• Close collaboration with planning, engineering, supply chain, quality

• Promotion of a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

• Cost center responsibility

• As a leader, you are responsible for compliance with all relevant external and internal regulations, processes, and guidelines

What You Bring

• Completed technical studies (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) or comparable education

• Several years of leadership experience in an industrial production environment

• Solid knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and production planning

• Experience in high-voltage technology or GIS is an advantage

• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and team orientation

• Very good German skills and good English skills
