What you can achieve

• Perform periodic maintenance work on the F/A-18 of the Swiss Air Force
• Carry out modification and inspection orders on the aircraft
• Unscheduled repairs on the F/A-18
• Participate in internal on-the-job training and aviation-related courses

What you bring

• Completed basic mechanical training (e.g. automotive technician, plant and apparatus builder, polymechanic EFZ or similar field)
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in working in a military environment
• Good oral and written English skills (approx. First / B1 level)
• Openness and flexibility to be introduced to and trained in aviation-specific knowledge and tasks
• Reliable and clean working method with a high sense of responsibility and endurance
• Resilient, team-oriented and committed personality
• Swiss citizenship (due to job requirements)

About the department

In the AIR division at RUAG, we ensure the maintenance, servicing and modernisation of military aircraft, especially fighter jets – as an aircraft mechanic you make a crucial contribution to the safety and operational readiness of the F/A-18.
